"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."
Jeremiah 33:3
Listen.
This is one thing I so wish my students would do more of. It frustrates me beyond belief to repeat myself so many times. Especially as we are nearing the end of the school year and the expectations have not changed since the beginning of the school year.
One day while talking to one of my “special friends” that has to have about one million reminders everyday, I said something to the effect of, “If you would just listen, I’m trying to help you.”
Then I heard God say, “Megan, how well do you listen? I want to help you.”
I paused after that convicted. How sweet is God? He lovingly and patiently always there to guide us. He is ready to help if we will just listen.
There is a list of things that have to get done every day; (at least in my head I’m not that organized) but too often I don’t pause to listen to what God is trying to say to me. I keep going, going, going until I have nothing left, all because I haven't allowed Him in.
I know He wants to help each of us go deeper in our relationship with Him and break free from things that are holding us back, but we fight it, we try to do things our way and don’t relinquish that control.
What beautiful thing, opportunity, or moment is waiting just past the horizon? Take a deep breath. God is with you. He is speaking. Will you listen?
